gpsvehiclenavigation.com's privacy policy.

The website gpsvehiclenavigation.com exists to support my book, "GPS Vehicle Navigation in Australia". There is very little data about indviduals that can be collected, but in any case I have placed this privacy page here to explain what happens.

Privacy Points

  1. No information about individuals will be sold or given to anyone. However, I may aggregrate information about visitor traffic to give to advertisers.
  2. If you buy the book from this website, we only use your information to ship you the book. After that, it is deleted, unless you have opted to be notified of updates or other news, in which case your name and email address is retained. If you later decide you don't want this notification, you can contact us and be removed from the mailing list.

Cookies

Cookies deserve special mention as they are much misunderstood, often because irresponsible journalists misrepresent them to their readership.

When you visit this site a cookie is used to remember your preferences, for example whether you have selected the navigation menu to be at the top of the page, or on the left. This cookie is deleted by your browser when you close the browser window.

The Forums also use cookies to remember indvidual preferences between sessions.

Bottom line

I hate spam and other forms of privacy abuse as much as any other long-term Internet user, so I'm not about to join their ranks. I hope the above covers any privacy issues; if it doesn't, feel free to contact me, anonymously if you so desire!
