Free images from the book.

On this page are some images that may be useful to anyone wanting to prepare presentations on how GPS works. The conditions of use are:

  1. You can't make money from them (for example, incorporate them in a book!)
  2. The entire image is kept intact and not modified in any way, except for resizing.
That's it. Here are the images. Right-click to save them. There is a detailed explanation of each image in the book, of course! Although not required, I would like to know if they prove useful to anyone.

This image was created by generating lines from the centre of a sphere at angles corresponding to lat/long coordinates around Australia's coast.

Many thanks to the excellent team at POV-Ray for their fantastic, freeware, ray-tracer.
